2. Police say Ryan Osbrink was getting ready for a job at the sheriff's department and practicing his draw when his .45-caliber pistol discharged, killing his wife.

3. The U of O Athletic Department should generate enough revenue to pay the estimated $11-million dollar annual debt for the bonds the school will use to finance the construction of a new basketball arena.

4. About one in four Oregonians are in families that will spend more than 10% of their income on health care costs next year.

5. The U.S. Department of Energy will reduce by $1-million its payment to a contractor hired to clean up parts of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation.

6. Federal prosecutors have dropped the case against the suspected "waddling bandit."

7. The Medford Police Department and the man known as saxaphone santa have come to an agreement.
