4. This week, by order of the Governor, Oregon is participating in National Pollution Prevention Week.

5. A federal appeals court panel in Seattle has refused to reinstate a lawsuit brought against Caterpillar by the family of peace activist crushed by an Israeli bulldozer.

6. Police say more than 22 thousand dollars worth of clothing has been recovered and six people arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from Woodburn Company Stores outlet mall.

7. The Eugene City Council will hold a community forum tonight, seeking public input on City Manager recruitment.

3. A Medford teacher is suing the Medford School District because she wants to carry a concealed weapon to work.

4. The University of Oregon is expecting a record number of dorm-students to arrive on campus this Thursday.

5. Claude Offenbacher reports Oregon Senator Ron Wyden's reaction to Hillary Clinton's proposed health care reforms.

5. A fire burned a half-acre of young trees near Cottage Grove last night.

6. EWEB's board voted last night to begin buying geothermal energy from SE Idaho. 

7. A missing hiker has been found safe in Olympic National Park.

8. The master of a tugboat intentionally grounded his vessel in the Columbia River this morning.

3. Five homes on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River and one below have been destroyed by a wildfire.

4. Another fire in the Columbia River Gorge has burned an abandoned plywood mill to the ground.

5. A hiker missing in the North Cascades National Park in Washington has been found.

6. Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad is announcing the closure of the rail line between Vaughn and Coquille.

7. Linn County Sheriff deputies arrested two Albany residents this morning in connection with a drug raid.

8. Payday lender Advance America says it is closing its stores in Oregon because they are no longer making money in the state.

9. The OSU baseball team is in Washington DC today for a visit with President Bush at the White House.
