First Newscast:

1.  KLCC's Ann Dornfeld reports that wildfires across the Northwest have grown to about 100,000 acres.

2. While most of the state's focus has been on forest fires east of the Cascades, the threat of fire on the Oregon Coast has increased as well

3.  A 16-year-old Beaverton boy killed yesterday was apparently shot by his older brother while target shooting

4.  The sentencing of Sterling Alexander, 39, a former Salem police officer convicted of sex abuse and official misconduct, awaits a psychological evaluation

5.  Oregon Senator Gordon Smith will be the lead Republican on a Democratic amendment  ordering President Bush to  begining pulling  troops out of Iraq within four months

6.  A public health advisory was issued today due to higher than normal levels of bacteria in ocean waters at "D" River State Park beach in Lincoln City

1.  Recap of wildfires situation

2.  Nissa Flanagan runs an ice cream truck in Richaland, Washington.

3.  The search for a pilot and his small airplane continues today.  It's been misssing since Saturday when he failed to return to the Aurora Airport.

4.  A Klamath Falls man who owns more than 40 goats has one week to clean his property of manure or be sent to jail.

5. Springfield, Vermont, will get to host the premier of "The Simpsons Movie" July 26th, disappointing those in Springfield, Oregon, who had sought its selection.

Newscast:

1.  Portland pilot Courtland Mumford, 65, who took off last weekend from Aurora Airport, is still missing.

2.  The Egley Complex near Burns has burned an estimated 78,000 acres.  Fire officials say lightning sparked some 83  -- mostly small -- fires from last night until this morning.

3.  Union Pacific officials last night announced a plan to install vapor barriers in six homes in the Trainsong neighborhood of Eugene.

4.  At the City Club of Eugene, Tom Kemper of K-W-G, a Portland Development Firm, discussed his vision for determining the future of West Broadway properties under Eugene City option .

5.  The Eugene Public Library has purchased 10,000 DVD's for $35,000 from Flicks and Pics, which went out of business Tuesday.

6. State officials announced a new contract for members of Service Employee International Union Local 503.  It provides a 3% cost of living increase until November 2008.

7.  A heat advisory remains in effect until 9 p.m. Saturday for eastern Oregon.
