1. A tornado struck the small Oregon town of Aumsville today, tearing roofs off buildings, and uprooting trees.

2. The Red Cross has opened a shelter at a church in Aumsville to help displaced families.

3. Jurors have reached a decision on a sentence for Bruce Turnidge, who could face the death penalty for killing 2 police officers in a bank bombing two years ago.

4. Unemployment is stuck in a holding pattern in Oregon and Washington.

5. Washington Governor Chris Gregoire wants to consolidate several state agencies and eliminate 3 dozen boards and commissions to save money.

6. The Washington Department of Revenue has launched a statewide effort to collect sales tax from medical marijuana dispensaries.

7. An Oregon prosecutor, Rand Overton, has pleaded guilty to official misconduct after he admitted using his position to seek sexual favors.

8. A vocal opponent of the removal of Gold Ray Dam from the Rogue River last summer has been charged with menacing after she allegedly fired a rifle shot over the heads of 4 workers drilling wells.

5. A college English instructor in Portland is the first Pacific Northwest driver to get a Nissan Leaf electric car.

7. The leaders of a troubled project to build a statewide public safety radio network have asked Oregon lawmakers for guidance on the next step as deadlines approach.
