6. Tidewater Barge Lines is laying off up to 200 employees for 3 months while 3 navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake Rivers are being replaced.

7. A Southern Oregon family has filed a $6-million federal lawsuit claiming the Phoenix-Talent School District hired and allowed a teacher to be unsupervised, despite past complaints about inappropriate conduct.

8. The Matsutake mushroom season is over in Oregon and it turned out to be a bumper crop.

2. Democrat Peter DeFazio has been elected to serve a 13th term to represent Oregon's 4th Congressional District, beating out political newcomer Art Robinson.

3. In Benton County, incumbent Democrat Linda Modrell won a 4th term as county commissioner.

4. Mike Van Meter reports on election results in Central Oregon.

5. Rachael McDonald reports on voters defeating a bond measure to pay for facilities improvements in the rural Fern Ridge School District.

6. A Portland flooring contractor has been fined $10,800 for removing asbestos tiles without a license.

4. The state has rejected a City of Bend proposal to expand its urban growth boundary by about 8,500 acres.

5. Tom Banse reports on a groups of homeowners at the bankrupt Tamarack Resort in Idaho pressing ahead with plans to reopen the ski area for business in December.

6. A hunter accused of killing a man picking floral greens in the woods near Shelton, WA has been charged with manslaughter.
