4. Public employee pension funding that suffered investment losses during the recession may also lead to budget cuts for many state and local government agencies.

5. The number of fines for unlicensed contractors has increased in OR recently.

6. Nike says growing demand for its products and stong margins drove its 1st quarter net income up 9%.
