3. State regulators have fined a couple in Harbor, OR more than $17k for allowing road erosion to wash into a prime salmon river.

4. The NW's electrical grid would become more nimble and efficient under new fedceral grants announced today.

5. Jackson County Commissioners want to expand trade with China.

6. Richard Wendt has died.

7. State officials are reminding Oregonians that another government shutdown day is approching this Friday.

3. More than 400 people lined up in the heat Monday in Salem to apply for temporary jobs at the OR State Fair.

4. The price of gas in OR has pushed the state into the top five nationally, with a gallon of regular still averaging more than $3.

5. A Federal appeals court has decided that mud washing off logging roads is pollution.

6. A man has died after jumping off a bridge to avoid being seen by police.
