5. A federal appeals court has ruled that the U.S. Forest Service can allow some motorized use of the Lord Flat Trail in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area.

6. Rachael McDonald reports on the Oregon State Land Board meeting next week to consider the fate of the Elliot State Forest.

7. Plans to remove the historic Gold Ray Dam on the Rogue River are being met with some resistance.

2. An Albany woman who was investigate for trying to take a baby from a hospital has pleaded no contest to initiating a false report.

3. A Multnomah County program to find housing for homeless families is falling short of its goal.

4. President Obama's budget proposes to increase spending at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation by about $39 million.

5. West Linn Mayor Patti Galle has aked the City Manager to resign, accusing him of blocking an audit of public projects.

6. The US Forest Service and a logging company have been sued for failing to cut down a tree.

7. A nonprofit group that promotes high academic achievement says Western Oregon Unversity is tops in the nation for improving graduation rate for under-represented minority students.

2. Anna King reports the Tri-Cities in south-central WA has 3,400 more non-farm jobs last December than it had in 2008.

2. The Chancellor of WSU-Vancouver has resigned as the state's co-chair of the group overseeing the effort to build a new bridge for I-5 across the Columbia River.

4. Mt. Angle Police and firefighters evacuated a city block and the Oregon State bomb squad was called in for a suspected bomb.

5. Authorities say a retired firefighter in Southern OR shot and killed his estranged wife when she came home to pick up some belongings.

6. Fifty years ago Navy Lt. Don Walsh journied to the deepes part of the Earth's oceans.

2. Oregon lawmakers are considering a ban on the chemical called BPA in certain products.

3.  A Hong Kong -based company has purchased a pulp mill in the lower willamette valley.

4. Jes Burns reports that the 4J school board is moving forward on plans to sell Civic Stadium.

5. 4J substitute teachers are at a negotiating standstill with the district.
