3. US Senate candidates Gordon Smith and Jeff Merkley will debate tonight.

4. Washington Governor Chris Gregoire and Republican challenger Dino Rossi meet for thier 5th debate Wednesday.

5. The President of the Machinists Union says negotiators are having a "tough time" trying to end a strike at the boeing company.

5. Austin Jenkins reports paid family leave for working families in WA is on indefinite hold because of budget woes.

1. The number of classes in Oregon public school taught by highly qualified teachers has climbed a bit, but still falls short of the 100% goal in the No Child Left Behind Act.

2. Former Vice President Al Gore is scheduled to visit Portland October 24th to campaign for Democrat Jeff Merkley in a tight U.S. Senate race against Republican Gordon Smith.

3. Angela Kellner reports on a mass casualty drill held at the Eugene Airport.

4. Chris Lehman reports on officials breaking ground on a new solar manufacturing facility in Salem that is expected to create 200 new jobs.

5. Jes Burns reports on the artifacts and remains uncovered in Springfield during the construction of Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend.

4. Oregon State University alumnus Peter Johnson and his wife, Rosalie, have donated $2.4 million to endow a scholarship-internship program they started at OSU 10 years ago.

5. Band members at 3 Oregon middle schools won't be marching in the Macy's day-after-Thanksgiving-Day Parade.

1. Searchers are scouring Mount Adams for a 27-year-old Philomath man missing since Sunday.

2. Jes Burns reports on mayors and city councilors from around Lane County sharing their wish lists with state representatives in Eugene as part of "Oregon City Hall Week."

3. Carson Helicopters of Grants Pass has had its firefighting contract suspended by the U.S. Forest Service, but they say it does not have anything to do with this summer's copter crash that killed nine, including eight Oregonians.

4. A couple had their camera stolen from their car in Eugene and it contained the photos from a 6,000 mile journey to celebrate Wanda Beebe's 75th birthday.

5. Don Wimberly reports on conservation groups denouncing Idaho's new roadless rule to manage more than 9-million acres.
