2. The City of Eugene burned about 51 acres of wetlands on the west side of town today.

3. Smoke from wildfires in the Cascades continues to affect air quality in Eugene and Springfield.

4. Community members and leaders from Eugene and Veneta will be gathering tomorrow evening to discuss one of west Eugene's biggest problems - traffic.

5. A medical marijuana activist group is working on an initiative to create marijuana dispensaries in Oregon similar to those in California.

2. Eugene's Police Chief, Robert Lehner, is taking a job in California.

3. George Fox University says 4 students have been punished for hanging an effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama from a tree.

4. Gas prices in Oregon have fallen below the national average.

5. Austin Jenkins reports on the announcement that soldiers from Fort Lewis, Washington will take over day-to-day military operations in Iraq beginning next spring.

6. Anna King reports on a new company taking over responsibility for cleaning up the radioactive waste at Hanford.

1. Interview with Bonnie Henderson, author of "Strand - An Odyssey of Pacific Ocean Debris."

2. One of the first proposals for marine reserves off the Oregon Coast comes from a group of fishermen who would ban themselves from a fertile site just off Port Orford.

4. Seven junction boxes and about 700 feet of copper wire were stolen from Eugene's east bank bike path.

5. Jes Burns reports on the West Eugene Collaborative presenting street design options to help alleviate congestion on West 11th.
