3. A fire last night destroyed the 153-year-old Samuel Colver House in Phoenix.

4. A University of Oregon student has filed an appeal with the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals that could delay the UO's proposed basketball arena.

5. Rachael McDonald reports on a decision by U.S. District Judge Michael Hogan to halt the logging of old growth trees near Bend.

6. Chris Lehman reports on the economic benefits of Oregon's wild and scenic rivers.

7. Oregon livestock officials say they expect more horses to be abandoned in Oregon this winter as the economy tightens and hay prices climb.

1. Interview with Stuart Archer Cohen about his new novel, "The Army of the Republic."

1. Residents near wildfires in 2 parts of the state have been evacuated.

2. Tom Banse reports on federal aid for west coast salmon fishermen and related businesses.

3. Clatsop County voters reversed the county commission's decision to allow liquefied natural gas pipelines to cross through park land.

4. The Northwest Power and Conservation Council forecast says the region should have enough electricity to avoid severe power outages before 2013.

5. Rachael McDonald reports on air pollution in the Willamette Valley caused by wildfire smoke and agricultural dust.

6. Thieves stole copper wires from Amazon Park's lighting system.

7. An alumnus of Oregon State University has given the school 2.6 million dollars, primarily for it's Valley Library.

2. 25 states, including Oregon, are asking beverage-maker Miller-Coors to abandon plans for a new caffeine-infused alcoholic energy drink.

2. The U.S. Forest Service says the Middle Fork Wildfire east of Prospect has nearly doubled in size in a day to almost 14,000 acres.

3. Angela Kellner reports on the 21 names added to the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Wall in Salem today.

4. The FBI is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction for the arson at the Pregnancy Alternatives Center in Lebanon.

5. Eugene 4-J Superintendent George Russell told the Eugene School Board last night he plans to stay at least another two years.

6. A Cottage Grove-based church is calling on local communities to help Texans devastated by Hurricane Ike.

5. Washington State is not heading for a recession, but the economic picture remians gloomy.

6. Oregon Coast Community College will be opening 3 new campuses this fall and all of them will be tobacco-free.

7. California Governor Arnold Swarzenegger cancelled an appearance at today's fundraising event for Oregon Senator Gordon Smith.
